Before you toss your used candle jar, do this instead:
Freeze the candle jar and place it in hot water to loosen the wax. Once removed, wash the jar out and take off the label.
Use the jar for holding pens and pencils, lip balms, hair ties, and more!

Nahhhhhhh that is NOT how you do that
Doing that will make most glass break please NEVER get glass really cold and then hot it’s going to break
The best way to do this is to make sure the glass isn’t cold to the touch (if it is run it under some warm water) and then get some hot water and put it in the jar it will naturally melt and lift up the wax and it looks like a cool lava lamp and you don’t risk breakage
The way you did this was really unsafe I’m really happy you didn’t break anything put please NEVER get glass cold and then hot also omg cold then hot then KNIFE?! One wrong ding and the whole thing shatters
You really must be more careful when working with glass
Literally shocked the glasses didn’t immediately shatter when hitting that hot water because they should’ve please never do this this is so dangerous
Why would you recommend that with the glass.
This is the equivalent to boiling water and freezing it for when you make pasta next.
If you want to do this. Instead of doing her method. Boil water and pour it into the candle jar and leave it alone overnight. Remove the wax that floated to the top and clean it well. For stickers, peel off as much as you can then use isopropyl alcohol and soak a paper towel or rag with it and scrub it until it comes off. For the metal ends of a wick, take those off with a bit of force. This method is safer and i have many jars from doing this.
skip the freezing, just add hot water, tap hot is enough.
