The diagram is misleading. If the water level falls to or below the elevation of the inlet to the penstock, you can no longer generate energy. Furthermore, the elevation of the discharge of the penstock is above the tailrace, and that elevation difference also reduces the net head available for generating energy. These issues may be simply a matter of the drawing, but I would think it important to show how these factors feature into the diagram.
The question is if there is a 15 feet high square, 30*30 = 900 square feet and a 6 feet high pit, that means 900*6 = 5400 feet of water is filled and a 12 inch pipe is bent down from under it and a 150 feet long pipe is bent down to generate 100kva electricity from a hydro turbine generator at a distance. can be done??? What will be its rated flow and water head please guide. And how many kilowatts of electricity can be generated from it???
