People have got the idea of how much things should cost twisted. Even if you use it for 1 year and then discard it (wasteful), that's at least 30 days of use. The price per day at $50 is not much at all.
Quality fake plants take quality materials and quite a bit of labour to produce. The people who made this were probably not paid fairly
