I'm 37 and I remember how good McDonald's used to be. 20 years ago it was a regular lunch spot for me and my friends when we were milling about the town center. It was never the best food of course but it was reasonably cheap and decently tasty. These days it's an absolute travesty. It's overpriced, horribly inconsistent as you say, badly cooked (looking at you bacon) and overall just a complete waste of time. I'd much rather just get a supermarket sandwich meal deal.

Canadian here – we don't have that burger in Canada, or at least my part of Canada. Contrary to popular belief, we do not put maple syrup on everything, nor do we eat routine on a daily basis!
