I tried it in Edinburgh and thought it was pretty poor. Maybe it was a bad day or teething problems as it's still new. But to me the items were like they were from a chain that doesn't specialise in those items. We get chips in Pizza Hut – but they're pretty basic. Oven baked, a bit soggy – but what do you expect? Popeys weren't much better. The chicken was like McDonald's, fine but nowhere near as good as other chicken places. They forgot my gravy so I can't comment on that, the wrap was fine.
Definitely not somewhere I'd be in a hurry to try again.
I think you should try wingstop next if you want to try another chicken fast food restaurant

OMG! I LOVE Popeye's ❤️ 😍, Gary! That drumstick was tiny, but still a lot bigger than the wings at Popeye's, which are a lot smaller. You gotta try the Signature Hot chicken wings if they have it in the UK! In the US, Burger King just came out with a chicken 🐔 sandwich similar to Popeye's, and it's fantastic!!!
They should have replaced your drumstick. You took the trouble of bringing it to your attention so they should have respected you as a customer by giving you another, much bigger drumstick. "That's how they come" is a cop-out response.
