So a springroll (this kind) isnt a thing in China, but in Americanized Chinese culture it is. And here its a vegetable only fried mini egg roll essentially. It uses the exact same type of wrapper as well, just flattened out significantly more as was as a very lightly sautéed vegetable mix with some Chinese liquid seasonings like xiaoxing wine, soy sauce, and sesame oil, then strained before being pat dry, rolled, pre fried for storage (just to let it hold its shape), and then refried when ready to be used. I always took it as a spring roll is veggie and a eggroll has meat
