Kolkata, India
I went to Kolkata, India, to try one of the most infamous street food stalls in the country — the Club Kachori street vendor Lali Chhangani. This tiny roadside shop has become famous (and controversial) because people online call it India’s most disgusting street food. From the dirty setup to the way the food is served, this vendor has gone viral for all the wrong reasons.
But here’s the thing… Club Kachori is also one of the most famous breakfast foods in Kolkata. Locals still line up for a plate of puris with spicy potato curry every morning. I had to experience it myself to see if it really is as unhygienic as everyone says.
In this video you’ll see my full reaction to eating the famous Club Kachori in Kolkata, the reality of the stall, and why it has such a shocking reputation.
