  1. If you do this again, I recommend cooking it a little longer. It brings out more flavors. Also, the instructions don’t say to but the cornbread, cobbler, pound cake and cheese sauces taste better warmed up. And it makes the pound cake and cornbread less dry. Lastly, you rated these too high. And I almost crocked eating the peanut butter on that dry ass snack bread

  2. In my high school cooking class, we had the opportunity to try MREs. Since we had six stoves in our classroom, we opted to just heat up our water normally (although I think some people still tried the pouch method anyways, just for fun). I'm a picky eater, so I mostly just ate the sides. A lot of them are just name brand snacks without the brand label, or sometimes you get lucky and get Skittles or Reeses Pieces in your pack. The applesauce is apparently caffeinated, which scared me away from trying it. The chocolate based drink mixes weren't good (somehow they made a powdered latte, it wasn't great) but the fruit ones were alright. I ended up mixing a raspberry and lime to make a pretty tasty concoction. The apple cinnamon bar was actually pretty good in my opinion.

  3. When I tell you the Mexican Chicken was an actual commodity I am not exaggerating. Me and the others would barter for that like nobody's business. But landing a Chili Mac? With the cheese? That. That was a Godsend. That shit made my night (not literally, of course. had me backed up like a Mack truck)
