For months now you guys have been suggesting The Eagles to me and I have been too put off from reacting to them due to their history of copyright issues. I thought I would finally give it a shot by listening to Hotel California. Hotel California is the first ever ‘Eagles’ I heard. It has definitely made me want to hear more from them!

The double guitar is a 12 string on top, used for the into. The bottom is a regular six string used for the kick ass parts.

When in Cabo a few years ago, with my granddaughters, I took a bus tour to the actual Hotel California (the grandkids went to a bar off the resort and watched the Packer game!!) that inspired the song. Really not much of a tour, though. You were just driven there and could have lunch in the courtyard of the hotel. You can rent an overnight there too, but it's really costly!
And there is a church (mission as the song says) right near to the hotel. The town is really tiny and somewhat in need of an injection of cash. But walking around I found the people living there to be very friendly and welcoming. I had a really nice time seeing the actual place that inspired this song. It was a beautiful drive along the ocean there and back, too.
