  5. I love this! One thing I’d add from personal experience — make sure you really get in touch with your intuition and listen to what you truly want out of this life. We’re all different. I spent my twenties working my ass off for what I thought was my dream, pushing myself with extreme discipline. It didn’t happen, and I was heartbroken. Still recovering if I’m honest.

    Now I’m 36, soon to be 37, living back home with my parents — which honestly feels humiliating— broke, and helping take care of my 102-year-old grandpa. While trying to figure out what I actually want from life, I realized my old dreams were more about ego than soul.

    These days I’m struggling to rebuild my discipline, but I remind myself: I was disciplined for 21 years and lazy for 2. I know I can get it back — and so can you. Or you can start now. If I was disciplined, I promise anyone can be. Don’t be afraid to ask for help either.

    Avoid the detour I made if you can. Much love to everyone.
