Christopher Nolan’s use of sound and silence makes the seven-year time dilation [00:26] on Miller’s planet feel truly oppressive and terrifying. Doyle's sacrifice [03:29] to save the data is one of the most heartbreaking moments. 😭 This channel shares the best of cinema! 💯

All this tech and thinking but they didn't learn time and stress management from F1 pitcrew team members
It took me a while to realize what was going on with this planet. That with the extreme gravity indifference with the planet being as close to blackhole as it was, the water was being pulled upward toward the blackhole creating this massive wall of deadly water. The waves aren't exactly "moving" as the planet is rotating the crew on the ground are being rotated into the massive wall of water rather than the water "moving" toward them. You can kind of tell as well when you are looking at the way the water motions continuously upward but also almost in place. The planets own gravity seems to be enough to fight back the pull of the black hole enough that it doesn't have all the water sucked off of it completely. But enough that the water is pulled upward into a towering mass of destruction.
Plus when it finally clicked that the wave they were looking at "moving away" from them more than likely was the one who killed the previous crewman who landed before they did. With the time being warped the way it is especially with the black hole being as close as it was, the reality that they arrived just mere minutes after their friend/crew mate was killed it so eerie. If they had arrived any sooner they probably would have witnessed the event itself happen and know not to land in the first place sparing them the years they lost on that planet.
Doyle had 30 business days to get back to the airlock 😂

They all know they are on a time crunch. Filmed them just sitting like its no big deal, we got all the time in the world. Then they limp around looking for stuff UNDER THE WATER and a robot that cant see metal trru water. But can run in water……he cant see the bottom, of? Just BS writing to fit your storyline. They are NOT believable. Bland cant follow orders? Dumbest one in the movie trying to save ………………dah???? Come on!
