I can’t stand her politics but she has a voice that is a gift from God!
As a fisherman I can pretty much guarantee that if those fishing boats with their salis. afloat it means they're laying over sideways. Omg doesn't sound too idyllic to me.
It's a steel guitar, not only ubiquitous in Hawaiian music but in country music as well. It was so fun watching you fangirl while she sings.
There is no pitch correction as it didn't exist. Talent was talent, you couldn't fake it on stage. You were either ace or you crapped the bed. There was no in between.
You need to listen to Linda Ronstadt's "All My Life," which is a duet with Aaron Neville. It is so beautiful with two of the loveliest voices. Speaking of Aaron Neville, his rendition of "Ave Maria" is nothing short of astonishing.
I wonder if that's Danny Dugmore on pedal steel? And yes, Elizabeth, that is a pedal steel guitar, like every country band has. Knee levers and foot pedals increase and decrease string tension. I had one but I sucked so bad on it after a whole year of trying to master it I just sold it.
I was waiting to see her look on that last note I knew was coming. Saw Linda at least six times and cried badly when she became ill with progressive supranuclear palsy. She has such a beautiful gift and can no longer use it.
You should react to Linda Ronstads singing Mariachi
Did you ever do a reaction to Linda Ronstadt when she covered traditional Mariachi songs on her Spanish album, Canciones de Mi Padre? There's some powerful songs on that album. I believe it remains the best selling Spanish language album in US history.
What an amazing voice she had couldnt get enough of her songs, such passion and joy in her voice, thank you Linda
Linda is an amazing singer and Parkinsons has stole her from us. If you want to hear a piece that truly showcases her power, you need to hear her sing La Cigarra. It is Mexican folk song (one side of her heritage) that she did as a tribute to her father. Now that is truly impressive.
