  1. I met one of the bearded guys from ZZ Top, in a casino in Vegas and he tried to steal my wife. He was a jerk but I was also completely sloppy drunk. I also met Tommy smothers, he was a really cool individual. Then I shook Willy Nelson’s hand at a concert with my dad once. All were in Vegas and I was intoxicated. That’s the extent of my claims to fame.

  2. I met George Strait when I was twelve. Our church youth choir was doing a musical, and got invited to be on I think TNN, waaaaay back in the day when it was truly The Nashville Network. Apparently he was in the studio and heard about us, and wanted to meet us.

    We were introduced to him, and in my sweet little 12 year old innocence, I batted my baby blue eyes at him and said, “Oh, my granny LOVES you!”

    He just laughed, patted my hand, and said, “ Little lady, you tell your granny I said hey.”

    So nice!

  3. My oldest daughter was about 12yo when John Michael Montgomery and Billy Ray Cyrus came to perform at our local county fair. My daughter wanted nothing more than to see Billy Ray up close. There were people near us in the crowd who heard her talking about how bad she wanted to get up front, so they made it happen for her.🥹 The guy was pretty big and tall, so he barreled his way through the crowd with her on his shoulders and she got to shake hands with Billy Ray.🎉
    I already told you about my doctor being Phyllis Diller's doctor and my short encounter with her fabulous self.🤩
