Easier to do little circles along each side
Can i do this on a 180/600 grit stone as a beginner? All i need to sharpen are some kitchen knifes and my pocketknife for work.

I see some video put water on the stone as they sharpening? When do you put water? Or you don't actually need to put any water ?
