coulda done without the music.
A 3/4 inch expansion gap around the perimeter is ridiculous. Your base boards will not cover that size of gap and you'll have to use quarter round (yuk). The thickness of a carpenter pencil (1/4 inch) will suffice. I've installed plenty of prefinished hardwood floors and never had a problem with a 1/4 expansion gap.
