As a commentator on the story of the Muslims, they didn't choose which of the four would rule them; they chose the most religiously devout among them, as predetermined in a hadith known to few. The order was: Abu Bakr, then Umar, then Uthman, then Ali. Disagreements arose among the companions, leading to the Rashidun Caliphate. The Umayyad state was established by the companion Abu Sufyan after Ali's death. I suggest you listen to a story from Arab Muslims to learn the truth, as many shuyukh have stated.

    Your statement implies that the Abbasids were Shiites, which is incorrect.
    The Abbasids were Sunnis.
    There is other incorrect information, but the historical narrative is mostly accurate.
