Would you consider a SIPP as well? You would have to lock the money away for a long time but at least it keeps the taxman at bay. Depending on how you pay into your pension right now, you could pay in a maximum of £60k? Then you get a tax rebate as well.
I was looking at some of the individual shares I own, notably Bunzl and RR, and noticed that they have been spending a lot of money on Share buy back. What other UK shares do you own that are buying back shares, and how do you feel about that instead of issuing dividends?
Ok guys this all sounds good but keep in mind that we JUST need HALF A MILLION QUIT to get those Dividends like this guy 😂.. lol i can barely save up to 5k/year to invest😅
I've been enjoying your channel for a while.
We've been on a similar journey although I'm already retired and do some short-term share 'flipping' in a small section of my portfolio as well.
You've brought some investments to my attention which I decided to buy some of those for my portfolio too (Phoenix and 3i).
So thanks for that.
My own portfolio is growth and income based and has been averaging an annual performance of around 15% p.a. since 2004.
For the last ten years I have lived entirely on invested income.
I have all of my liquid wealth in tax-wrappers and only invest within them, so the 'Claw' never visits me.
However I will get my state pension in February and, with the personal allowance frozen, I'll soon have to make him a cuppa every so often too.
Good luck on your journey, I know that I'll continue to enjoy following it.
Amazing as always 🎉
I can’t help but imagine a confused dog walker watching you run into the bushes carrying money in your claw 😂
Why not invest in a etf focusing in dividends like schd, You are diversified across many different stocks
Rachel from accounts should really have her nails done. A very good month i remember writing ,will you break the 2k mark in September a year or two ago.
I think the average monthly amount is the key at £1500 a month passive income is a fantastic amount, as it is a liveable amount of money for most people. It would be really interesting to see if you have any projections going forward as to how much this portfolio income would grow via average dividend increases via the investment you hold today?.
Do you intend to refigure your portfolio more to dividend income, when you retire ? to achieve a higher income return rather than growth you are enjoying today.
I started my investing journey on july 2021. 2021 I got dividends ~300€. 2022 ~1000. 2023 ~1300€ 2024 ~1700€ and this year Im getting ~2700€….I hope that this trend will continue
And there he goes with your money to give it away.
