Seems funny to me – government shuts down – and the world keeps spinning. Perhaps a part of the argument for smaller government.
When something makes up 1% of your portfolio, then ten years alter, through natural growth, becomes 95% of your portfolio – it makes sense to sell a large swathe of it, and diversify – or even, just send it to a bunch of different wallets, to mitigate the risk. Buy some stocks (pure-plays or ETF's), property and keep a year or two worth of cash handy for if/when the market crashes … and retain 50% of our BTC for the longer play. Basics.
