📍It's not actually called the "Thriller" dance, it's a Zombie Dance.
We did the dance from seeing the video. Yes, we knew it looked like zombies dancing, that was the point. You made no mention of Vincent Price's spoken section. And American horror legend. John Landis directed the video. John Landis who directed An American Werewolf in London, Innocent Blood, as well as Animal House and so many other hit movies. This song was definitely a master work. Michael was brilliant. The monster movie the couple went to see was based on I was a Teenage Werewolf, starring Michael Landon. Horror makeup legend, Rick Baker, (Original Planet of the Apes, An American Werewolf in London, etc.) was the FX makeup director for Thriller, and came up with the werecat creature for Michael. Yes, that was Michael under all of that makeup. I think that is all of the background you need to know about it. Oh, Michael Peters did the choreography for Thriller. He was a brilliant choreographer and dancer. Okay, now that is about all of the background info. 😁
