  1. i think one of the best things about this scene is the fact that she mentally becomes a child again during the ghost scene, channeling the innocence she had before her family were slaughtered – every one of the ghosts fawns over her and dances with her and loves her, she feels untouchable and invincible and treasured, she's regained that innocence she had as a child before the cruelty of the world was known to her

  2. 1:41 I only just now realized that Alexei limps in this scene…a touching detail.
To this day this movie remains one of my all time favorites. I loved the story as a kid and it made me want to know more of the Romanov history. You can’t imagine how heartbroken I was when o found out what really happened😢I guess the creators had a good reason to depict all the nobility and the Imperial family as ghosts…back then not all the remains were identified yet, so I still cling to the hope that at least Anastasia survived the slaughter at the hand of the communist pigs. But as always, real history is so much more cruel😢
