I just don’t buy the concept of humans 20k-10k years ago having some bonkers technology that we couldn’t replicate today. The idea that 10k yrs ago a comet hit and reduced global societal knowledge & tools plus mass extinction seems plausible. One of my gripes is that modern humans simply cannot fathom the context / motivations of ancient civilisations to build these giant stone monoliths etc. it’s just weird how great topics get some of this wacky ancient super tech mixed in with the normal(proper) stew.

I am almost 100% in agreement with you but honestly the cathedrals were also purpose built to attract visitors as profit centers. I would consider a number of Atlantis’ that would reflect the previous global civilization as the floods were worldwide as well
