I remember a few years ago Taylor talking about how male artists can do their same style over and over again, but the public expect female artists to reinvent themselves on every album. Sounds like that may be true.
Right now this one and Elizabeth Taylor and Honey are my favorites, but I love the entire thing
I love how you put yourself in the corner like that during videos
If you look closer, for the first look she has in the painting, before the red and blonde hair, she lights the match with her hair
They dancers had step counts & movements only no music or lyrics.
Each video has Easter Eggs. References to the next tracks
They are all her dancers from her tour. They gow to hear the record before that.
So many Easter eggs in the beginning and throughout can be found after listening to the final song Life of a showgirl. This video went through different showgirl scenes through the decades/ times.
WHO IS HE
This song is really deep and telling if you know what to look for and even if you don’t when you hear her singing the part of you pledge allegiance to the team it’s clearly about Travis Kelce and I think she’s finally got a MAN who’s not intimidated by her fame and money and treats her like a woman and like most women she’s at the age where she wants permanency in her life, someone who loves her, to get married and god willing have a family! She’s definitely matured personally and it’s come out through her writing and storytelling!
People who hate this album are not listening. She wanted a fun pop love album of the life behind the curtains. It's the life of a showgirl and not the showgirl on stage.
A showgirl can be a musician, singer, Theater, vegas, burlesque , actor and and and.
Every Era is different and in my opinion she proofed the last 20 years that she is a writing genius, music , poems , directing
The TTPD was deep and more poetic, this was the first album i listened and then i said…ok let's do the rest…
And I'm more like a flower power rock girl.
