This isn't exactly an Easter egg but I'll put context to this video (and I'm sorry if it's already been said or I come across as a know-it-all). The Ophelia she sings about was a character in Hamlet. Hamlet loved her but after his father was murdered, he basically became obsessed with revenge. Ophelia was also the daughter of Polonius, a character that Hamlet actually killed on accident, thinking he was someone else. As Hamlet goes into his obsessive rage era, He basically abandons her. She drowned herself after losing both the man she loved and her father. It's super early in the morning and I've been sick all night so sorry for the novel, and also for this. I'm sure most people know this already. But if not, that was the fate of Ophelia.

She is a genius.
She's always used a click track when making videos; that way, no one can release the music early. Watch the behind the scenes for ME! for an example; not a new thing. Dancers in the video are from her Eras Tour. There were about 3 weeks of rehearsal before they filmed it, so lots of time to get used to it. Given how much she pays them, they don't mind waiting for the music release. When she did her 2020 folklore album, Aaron Dessner would contact musicians for specific tracks (a violinist,or a specific drummer, or other session artists) and they never knew who's album they were working on until it was out.
People complaining about the album miss the point: the last album was super introspective and lyric driven. This is a snapshot of what she was living through in the last year of her tour; when she started dating Kelce. Very much in the moment. What the audience sees is the show; looks great. Performers have to repeat again and again, lot of work. Celebrity looks: Marilyn Monroe, Liz Taylor, Broadway Musical, Vegas shows. . . . . She wrote this album and recorded it in her days off on tour, in Europe; flying off to Sweden to work with Max Martin and Shellback (who worked on some songs on Red, then co produced 1989 and Reputation). It has a soundtrack/ musical theater sound.
Some people got very excited about getting a rerecord (with bonus tracks) of Reputation; they didn't get it. Some saw Martin and Shellback, and thought another 1989 . Some are complaining about her language (like any kid in school doesn't hear it every day). And some are just playing into the culture war, MAGA vs. anything "woke" (which, they cannot define). ๐ This one is just for the love of the music; and she gets to poke (again) at Big Machine, or maybe someone saying things about her. Those are pretty much on every album, though.
