Love there Anthology album.😍This is on it!
That wonderful electric guitar solo came about after David Gates of Bread and another member of the band tried in the studio to get the sound they were looking for. Both couldn't get it. David knew Larry Knechtel a keyboardist and bassist member of The Wrecking Crew (L.A.'s great studio musician's) played a little guitar and he asked Larry to try it out. Larry hooked up a wah wah pedal to a guitar and done the piece. It's a masterpiece of studio work.
Truckin by Bread has good electric guitar.
I believe it does incorporate all the genres with few exceptions they only need the Steel guitar instrument playing to automatically bring in country! That's what you're hearing right off with the guitar slide notes. But classic strings are bread's own signature & theirs alone! Very classic excellence all around!

I don’t know what your what you’re looking for in music but my son has a degree in music and said this is complex and there’s a video of a guy trying to dissect it – 58 minutes long. Trust me, it’s not what you think it is. I’m always amazed it’s so lesser known. I’d love to hear what you think.

If you want a good song to listen to. Listen to Sorrow tide and the song is I Will Never Love Again. I don't think anyone has ever heard this song

Yep the passion takes first place over everything and everyone. My first husband was a guitar player in a band. We had lots of fun until we started having kids and for the wife it makes for a lonely life because the music always come first above everything and everyone wife and kids are the ones left behind
