  3. Black Pegasus: I would like to bring up an issue as a professional musician. I am always amazed how many of you (and your rap fans) suggest that the musical talent required to play (and master) a musical instrument (and sing without autotune) is way, way higher than just "sampling" someone else's music.

    You don't need any real musical talent to sample any song from any other genre. It's disingenuous to suggest that they are the same.

    I can take anybody, put them in a studio, give them 8-hour lessons on how to use a computer program to sample another person's music, and they could probably come up with something interesting after about a week.

    What I cannot do, is give that same person 8-hour piano lessons, and expect them to play like me or any other professional session musician, or Stevie Wonder/Lionel Richie/Bruce Hornsby, etc. You get my point.

    I just thought I would make this "obvious" point. Sometimes it's important to point out the obvious.

    Great reaction on Dido. I enjoyed both songs – Stan and Thank You as I viewed them as the male antagonist view and the innocent female partners view that stood by him. I like her Here with me and Hunter.
