Rod Stewart used to kick soccer balls (footballs for the Brits⚽️) At his concerts years ago. His shows were great and funny! Sir Rod Stewart turned 80 not long ago but doesn’t look or act like it. He’s still sing too. Time flies by so fast.

I went to their last US concert, Kenny Lane wasn't there he had just left the group. But Rod and Ron Wood made the show.
Jeff Beck was the lead guitar 🎸 player. Some say probably one of the top 5 ever.
Hope you noticed Keith Richards on guitar, also member of the then Faces who were also known as the Small Faces at one time aswell. Rod's early stuff was always like this and his voice has never changed. You must have heard Maggie May. Baring in mind that this was before your time. 🙂💜💐🇬🇧
Remember, Rod Stewart has been performing professionally since the early 1960's. He began his career as a singer/harmonica player for Long John Baldry – a well known British Blues-Rock artist. After several years with Baldry, Rod became the the lead singer for the Jeff Beck Group (yes, that Jeff Beck!)
When Steve Marriott left the British band Small Faces to form Humble Pie, Ronnie Wood (Rolling Stones guitarist since the 1970's) contacted Ronnie Lane (founding member of Small Faces) to offer his services as a guitarist. Oh, Ronnie Wood was a BASS player in the Jeff Beck Group same time as Stewart was the lead singer.
Ronnie Lane told Ron Wood, that Small Faces couldn't continue without a singer, so Wood just replied, I'll get my friend Rod to sing…..
While all the original members of Small Faces are "height challenged", hence the "Small", once Wood and Stewart joined the band (both are roughly 6: tall(, the band dropped the "Small" and just became known as Faces.
Faces was rather short lived, however, as Stewart also had his solo career at the same time. Eventually, Ronnie Laine's jealousy and paranoia got the better of him, and Laine quit the band before either Wood or Stewart.
On a side note – Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood have been best friends for some 60+ years, and whenever they perform together it's always magic.
Never ceased to amaze me how a hand full of musical notes and some folk who can string them together, can be so varied and entertaining…
And oh… You missed a Rolling Stone on lead guitar…😅
