Reaction videos for me are a mixed bag, a lot bad a few good. This is pitch perfect because I now have insight into a song I've known since it was first released. The whole tension between the lyrics, the voice and the distortion 'ken magic!
Thanks for giving me more for a song I already know so well.
Much respect and love for what you do.
The Grandfather of Grunge before Grunge was a thing.
It was a tense political time. Neil was a fighter for justice and he wasn't afraid to take his white fans "Into the black."
Neil Young invented Grunge. He speaks the lyrics and lets his guitar do the talking.
I much prefer this side of Neil Young to the acoustic "soft rock." If you want to explore it further, try Cowgirl in the Sand (especially the live Fillmore version), Rockin' in the Free World, Cinnamon Girl, Down by the River.
I loved his reference to Johnny Rotten (Sex Pistols) rather than Elvis after he mentioned the king. I'm not a big fan of the Sex Pistols but they did a lot more for rock than Elvis.
Yes!
