  1. The video used a pencil-sketch animation and live-action combination called rotoscoping, in which the live-action footage is traced using a frame-by-frame process to give the characters realistic movements. Approximately 3,000 frames were rotoscoped, which took 16 weeks to complete. It was ahead of its time 😊

  2. All the drawings for this video were done by hand. Not on a computer. A live action film/video of the story was shot first, then two American animation artists – Michael Patterson and Candace Reckinger – made sketches of each frame one frame at a time at their house/apt in California. Something like 3-4,000 drawings were made. It took them 16 weeks of nonstop work.

  3. From Google: Bunty Bailey and Morten Harket dated.
Bunty became known as the girl in the music videos of a-ha's singles "Take On Me" and "The Sun Always Shines on T.V." made in 1985. She is the former girlfriend of the band's lead vocalist, Morten Harket, whom she met while working on the videos.

Aside, A-ha also did The Living Daylights for the Bond film of the same name.
