Understand that Pink Floyd was a culture. It changed us at a very deep level. You can maybe watch the movie with Bob Geldof called The Wall to understand where we were in the 70's and early 80's and how the military aspect plays into this. I had a teacher in 1978 who taught us about Pink Floyd as part of Life Science and Life Orientation. I'm forever grateful to him, because this song was banned in our country. I remember dancing to this at illegal parties in the 1980's. If you want to trip on sound and no substance, this is your music. The Wall, The Dark Side of the Moon, etc. Roger Waters's solo work is also very moving. Then this lead singer, David Gilmour, is one of the best. To show you versatility, listen to him sing Shakespeare's Sonnet. He was also one of the most beautiful pop/rock stars of our era. I want to go back to that turbulent time. Rather that insecurity than the fear our young people feel right now. Musically they were genius. They opened up so many avenues for us to pursue in a world where everyone wanted us to wear blinkers.
Listen to Comfortably Numb – David Gilmour and David Bowie.
I'm Loving that young people are listening to this music. It just has such a long shelf life. That's why it's classic rock. The best music! 62 years old and born in 1963. I listen to this all the time . 70's is my jam…..and 80's. I think this came out. 1980
The music video portrayed a better Vibe to the message.
Watch Rodgers human rights in apparanceโค๐๐
Why would anyone want to listen to rap music itโs a terrible form of music, it has contributed to the thug ghetto attitude that is so prevalent today in America.
You really need to forget about content, drop a tab and experience the discography proper.
Sit your self down in a dark ISH room head phones and listen to dark side of moon ,substances are not advisable but understandable beware great gig in the sky .!
Dark Side of the Moon, headphones on no distractions…… enjoy album from begining to end โคโคโค
So many other bands to listen the 70, and 80's its whem humans connect music with soul that we never forget
