The Battle of Okinawa was the last great battle of World War 2. It was a brutal 82-day slugfest in which the US Army and Marines fought a desperate Japanese force that was willing to die rather than surrender. The fighting was so fierce that it convinced the US high command that an invasion of mainland Japan would be too costly, ultimately leading to the decision to use the atomic bomb. This film uses rare archival footage and expert analysis to tell the story of the battle that changed the course of history.

All wars are depopulation agendas by our own government's,
Only issue is this dude calling marines soldiers.
did he really just say the size of los santos
This is why I love WW2 history.
I was fortunate enough to be assigned to Torii Station on the 50th anniversary of the invasion. Drove four vets who fought there around the island. As interesting for them as it was for me. Great video, however Iwo Jima is like a 1,000 miles north of Guam. Ie Shima is the island just west of Motobu. It has a drop zone/ airfield on the west end where we jump 🪂
Grandpa was on the Solomon Islands
Damn shame that the narrator keeps referring to Ie-jima as Iwo Jima. Pretty huge mistake to make.
Hello 👋 please can someone listen to me please 🙏🙏
"You have to be willing to sacrifise your life for the emperor, that ment you were a good Japanese citizen"…..no it ment you were a very stupid individual
