In this episode, I go behind the scenes with the team at Mintlify, one of the most talked-about startups building in the AI developer tools space.

We dive into the real conversations happening inside startups right now from hiring freezes at top tech companies to the rapid acceleration of AI that’s reshaping how products are built… and who’s needed to build them.

This is a raw look into a real team navigating the future of work, automation, and company culture.

We talk:
– How AI is impacting developer roles in real-time
– Why top companies are reducing hiring and leaning on tools
– Startup culture, optimism, and what might come next
– Plus some light-hearted chaos inside the Mintlify office

This episode is for anyone building, adapting, or wondering what comes next in a world where everything is changing, fast.

  1. Thank you so much for the awesome video. It bought back fun memories from my startup experiences. I still remember those hyper growth times but don’t miss working 18 hours everyday. Enjoy the ride and give it all so no regrets ❤

  2. It's a wild time to be an engineer. I spun up a CRM for a specific niche, full back end into duck db to a custom rag + vector db pul in and just 'make sense' of something all within 11 damn minutes – just a blast of ai just gpt 4 and now 5. Outside of the time of grabbing api keys, oath templates, whatever pgp keys and all that wild crap. Just with a basic spec then one shotting it <then take action on the output> you can get so damn wild I love it to death. I'm 50 and still it amazes me because when you have deep knowledge, now you can accelerate so it allows you to keep up. It allows people younger than I to REALLY go fast, so take care of yourselves and move fast, the time is now. This time is yours.

Edit: If you are reading this – it's two realities – those who are young and those who are not. So it's context with people without no kids who can work relentlessly, and those with families and kids can't do this so you are left with different groups and the comparisons are misaligned and no one understands the other side. Life is a wierd simulation, I don't understand it sometimes. Today, I do but tomorrow I probably won't.
