The Vietnam War was a long, costly, and divisive conflict that pitted the communist government of North Vietnam against South Vietnam and its principal ally, the United States. The conflict was intensified by the ongoing Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union. In this video, we explained the reason and causes of the Vietnam War.

WHY DID NORTH VIETNAM WIN WAR, BUT NORTH KOREA COULD NOT WIN THE KOREAN WAR?
The decisive reason North Communist Vietnam won the Vietnam War over South Vietnam — while North Communist Korea failed to conquer the South — is GEOGRAPHY.
North Vietnam had connected land borders with CHINA and, through LAOS and CAMBODIA, direct access to Soviet and China supplies. This geography made the HO CHI MINH TRAIL POSSIBLE: a vast hidden network through Laos and Cambodia, beyond South Vietnam’s reach, that carried endless weapons, troops, and supplies southward. These lifelines fed strongholds such as the CU CHI TUNNELS, U MINH FOREST, and BORDER REGIONS, sustaining the war until Saigon fell.
The so-called NATIONAL LIBERATION FRONT (NLF), presented as a southern resistance, was in fact armed, directed, and controlled by Hanoi. Once victory was achieved, the NLF was discarded — proof it had only been a tool of the North.
North Korea had no such advantage. The KOREAN PENINSULA is a dead end, surrounded by the OCEAN and sealed off at the FORTIFIED DMZ. Unlike Vietnam, there were no neighboring states to host hidden trails or smuggle weapons across borders. That is why North Korea failed to conquer the South in the 1950–1953 war — and why it still cannot after 75 years.
The same principle explains why Russia cannot fully conquer Ukraine today: Ukraine’s CONNECTED BORDERS with Poland and other NATO countries allow a constant flow of Western weapons. If Ukraine were GEOGRAPHICALLY ISOLATED, Russia might have won much faster.
==> GEOGRAPHY DECIDED THE OUTCOMES:
++Vietnam’s CONNECTED BORDERS with China, Laos, and Cambodia made North Vietnam’s victory over South Vietnam possible.
++Korea’s PENINSULA GEOGRAPHY made North Korea’s victory impossible.
Everything else — ideology, willpower, politics, foreign aid, weapons, even military strategy — was secondary to GEOGRAPHY.
