I'm pretty sure this isn't a Red Queen Crab. It looks like Etisus splendidus , known as the Splendid Pebble Crab. Found across the Indo-Pacific (including Hawaii), it’s also called the Splendid Red Spooner Crab, Splendid Spooner, or Twelve-spine Red Crab. A large, striking species—though like many xanthid crabs, it’s not safe to eat. Please tell me if I am wrong.
