My father’s French cousins and grandparents went through WW1 and 2 ….in Normandie….love this music!!! Grand-mère Boisraméy was a French nurse in WWi…she help attend to Granpa’a wounds as An American Dough Boy soldier…he began to flirt with her ( maybe it was a rush of the morphine 😂) …she would dismiss his flirtyness…( he was a chatty Italian American) …but then, as she states, “ you know…I suddenly began to fall in love!!” They married in St-Germain Village, the church of my French forefathers, residing for a while..then they immigrated to Pasadena, CA…And here we are !!!
