These videos aren’t sad, they are nostalgic. There is a tear in the gut when watching these. But that is a connection with the tragedy and sacrifice we feel knowing what these people went through and suffered so that we might be free have a better way of life. Generous sacrifice is met with gratitude and recognition for the gift they gave to us – and at such cost. It is not sadness.
