Startups rarely die from market wounds—they implode under fractures in the founder’s psyche. Carl Jung called the hidden brilliance inside that darkness the “Golden Shadow,” and mine almost leveled my startup, Posterous. This is the four-step playbook I forged for turning that inner saboteur into rocket fuel.

When I get irrationally angry, it's because I'm autistic. I wish tech Brisbane would stop pretending to he psychologists.
This largely reflects my reality, so powerful and helpful. Thanks so much for bringing this to light and putting it into words.
I was surprised and happy to see this video from you. I took notes from YC on how to do things related to startups, but never felt like I belong there. Mostly because I think the inner journey is as important as the outer journey when building something. Since my startup relates to that, I couldn't see the connection. Today I did. Inner work is definitely a strategic decision. Happy to see we align on that!
Really appreciate the lesson, thanks garry
Again, very insightful. Thumbs up. JM ❤❤
I'm the one of users still remember Posterous. I agree that discovering our inner golden shadow is such a crucial task not just for startups but for our lives in general.. 👏
I thought it said golden shower
i was a very active user of posterous . it was a great concept of that time.
Thank you I need this ❤
I appreciate the focus on self-awareness, but I’d love to see more on how team dynamics and external factors interact with personal growth. How do you balance introspection with execution and collective responsibility?
