This was tested by Dr Frederick zugibe. If you look this up you will see that he had a conflict of interest, since he made a large portion of his income writing about these topics. He also did not have the independent oversight in these studies that he would normally have when he studied forensics, or pathology. He made a lot of rounds on talks shows and media. He was a circus act. He is about as trustworthy as a Ghost hunter TV show is when considering the evidence they present as paranormal evidence.
