We’re in Cork — and every single person we met said the same thing: “You’ve got to try Tongue Tied at Black Market.”
Hidden away on the edge of the city, this industrial-style spot is home to what might just be Ireland’s best sandwich. Founded by two brothers — one a chef, one a filmmaker — Tongue Tied started out as a hot sauce brand before evolving into a deli with a serious cult following.
We tried two of their heroes:
🥪 The Bada Bing — the OG muffuletta-style sub stacked with salami, mortadella, mozzarella, and their signature spicy olive salad.
🔥 The Chicken Parm — sesame panko chicken, blowtorched mozzarella, crispy chili oil, homemade pesto, and that perfect toasted focaccia crunch.
And just when we thought it couldn’t get better… they hit us with house-made ice cream sandwiches like “Dude, Where’s My Caramel?” (yes, that’s really the name).
It’s bold, it’s creative, and it’s absolutely worth the hype.
