It’s INSANE to call a child who lied (however horrific the consequences) the “real villain” when a GROWN MAN PREDATOR LITERALLY SA’D A CHILD AND GROOMED HER INTO MARRIAGE LETTING A GOOD INNOCENT MAN GO TO WAR IN HIS PLACE! Seriously, HOW do so many people hate girls and women so much that they completely omit the ACTUAL VILLAIN of this entire story. What is wrong with people?! The entire catalyst was a predator’s actions. She was a child whose testimony should’ve NEVER been taken at face value without evidence (which is why we don’t take them as the end all be all now). Hold MEN accountable for doing the crime, not JUST the child for lying. The two things are not the same!🤦🏾♀️
She really was a pos. Then, to think that because she was dying that she'd somehow make up for her horrendous actions by "giving" them their happiness is her shitty book when she gave them nothing but horror, loneliness, and perhaps even helped contribute to their premature deaths. Perhaps were they allowed to be together their fates would have been different. Anyone who excuses her just because she was a child is nonsensical. She knew EXACTLY what she did and kept up the farce willfully for her entire life.
The way that movie ended, kicked my ass. I never saw that coming.
