These videos make it seem reasonable when you but like 5-10 new items all at once. But that’s not really reasonable either! Or it makes it seem like you have to be buying stuff. It’s very insidious.

Might sound strange, but I like having to save for certain items. If I look at something higher priced and spend 6 months or a few years saving for it, then I know whether I really wanted it or if it was just a forgettable impulse. It's more satisfying when I can finally afford it and I actually take proper care of it once I have it, especially if I bought it second-hand.
I can't believe people are still doing shein hauls. It's literally trashy to buy anything shein or temu and doing a HAUL….🤢 like I thought everyone had gotten past this and then I remember I'm not on tiktok and the masses are hidden from me. Real sad that people are mindlessly feeding into that stuff still.
