3. Silicones do cause buildup if you have too many in your shampoo and conditioner and it doesn't have enough surfactant to remove it. Some people don't want to use clarifying shampoos. I have oil in my shampoo and conditioner and I don't get buildup it's about formation and hair type.

4. They're there for a reason..I never listened to that crap of stay away from silicones and sulfates..
