  1. I had plantar faciitis back in 2012 – 2013 because I was on my feet all day on a concrete floor for about a year straight.
I had to wear some orthotic inserts in my shoes after going for an evaluation where they had me walk on a pressure mat and I routinely massaged my feet with my thumbs (it's painful, but it's a good hurt) by pressing in and rubbing from the heel to the ball. I also got this AMAZING foot massage roller ball thing. It's basically a golf ball sized steel ball mounted on a holder that you put on the floor and run your foot over and press down on. Again, it's one of those "hurts so good" things.
After maybe 6 or 8 months it went from excruciatingly painful (especially in the mornings) to painful, to unpleasant, to essentially cured. Still have to make sure I have very supportive shoes, though.

  2. I always eat the bones. I need the extra calcium.

Also, don't buy a rice cooker. They're expensive appliances you don't need at all. They take up space, are a pain to clean and serve no purpose unless you don't own any other cookware.
