Shay Mitchell just launched Rini, a skincare line made for kids as young as three. Meanwhile, Hailey Bieber’s Rhode is breaking records after being acquired by e.l.f. Beauty for $1 billion, with its Sephora launch hitting $10 million in just two days.

And if that wasn’t enough, Dua Lipa is teaming up with Augustinus Bader to launch her own skincare line, DUA, powered by a new version of the brand’s iconic TFC8 complex.

In this episode, we’re diving into what these launches say about the state of the beauty industry, the rise of celebrity skincare, and whether kids’ skincare has officially gone too far.

What do you think? Are we okay with kids’ skincare now? Can Rhode’s hype last? And does Dua’s skincare line actually make sense? Drop your thoughts below.

  1. Honestly this is so evil.
I read a comment here that said it’ll be a ripple effect in the industry with more brands making products for TODDLERS.
Shay Mitchell knows what she’s doing, and if she’s sooo dense, floating in her bubble, then the people around her know what they’re doing.
This is just, so so evil.

  2. You know what though? Kids' skin really does need care. It needs daily cleansing and, in the winter, often needs moisturiser – and the process can be a massive battle.
Sticky, grubby, fingers (plus toys, pencils and God knows what else) constantly in their mouths; drool from toothing and thumb-sucking; germ-ridden dummies, paint, muck, soil, sand, food and general playschool filth…
Yes, their skin is perfectly soft, but on top of all the viruses they ingest, their lifestyles mean they're prone to facial nasties like impetigo, peri-oral dermatitis and all sorts of rashes.
My three all absolutely hated having their faces washed until I gave them headbands, pretty cleansing pads and a nice-smelling bottle of baby lotion to cleanse their faces.
Good, safe skincare for kids, I can get behind.
