From skincare for toddlers to billion-dollar brand dealss…this week’s beauty news is wild.
Shay Mitchell just launched Rini, a skincare line made for kids as young as three. Meanwhile, Hailey Bieber’s Rhode is breaking records after being acquired by e.l.f. Beauty for $1 billion, with its Sephora launch hitting $10 million in just two days.
And if that wasn’t enough, Dua Lipa is teaming up with Augustinus Bader to launch her own skincare line, DUA, powered by a new version of the brand’s iconic TFC8 complex.
In this episode, we’re diving into what these launches say about the state of the beauty industry, the rise of celebrity skincare, and whether kids’ skincare has officially gone too far.
What do you think? Are we okay with kids’ skincare now? Can Rhode’s hype last? And does Dua’s skincare line actually make sense? Drop your thoughts below.

The photo of the girl with the transparent face mask on reminds me of the poster of The Skin I Live In, a movie I could NOT finish, and it’s making this ordeal worse. Shay was doing really well with Beís, she could truly just stick to that.
1:54 I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SOUND EFFECT EVERYWHERE FOR YEARS. Someone please tell me what it is called or where i can find it 😭
The image of the child with the mask reminded me of the sixties French film Eyes Without A Face. The plot’s about a warped parent who inflicts terrible suffering on young women in a misguided attempt to restore his daughter’s face. How apt
I honestly feel like the kids masks are honestly a good idea. As a kid I would have loved this and there no treatments or anything just a nice basic mask
Reusable silicone mask, yes. Gives off American Psycho vibes. A aloe mask for sunburn… Well, I'd probably use that to cool down the skin on a hot summer day
I used to work in childcare and I firmly believe that introducing good hygienic habits at a young age is great BUT skincare for 3 year olds is just not it mind you children don't gain full consciousness until they are 5/6 so why instill insecurities that a child wouldn't even be concerned about yet like yes it's okay for a small child to wash their face with a wet cloth and some dove but like a full on skincare routine yikes I'm terrified for this next generation and how they're going to develop we are forcing maturity onto them way too early wtf
That photo is literally a kid being suffocated by plastic in today's world
It feels very dystopic, very Black Mirror. That's where the sense of dread is coming from.
"I'm sorry hun but this is for adults." There, that's all you had to say.
child face masks with fun characters already exist, mosturizers, cleansers and sunscreens. i dont think it was a need, especially it doesn't look like it's targeted for kids, at first glance, it's giving rhode dupe, by it's design.
