Building your skincare routine doesn’t have to be overwhelming or expensive—just start smart and stay consistent! ✨
Step 1: Identify your skin type: dry, oily, combination, sensitive?
Step 2: Begin with the basics:
• AM: Cleanser → Moisturizer → Sunscreen
• PM: Cleanser → Moisturizer
Step 3: Choose your products wisely:
Don’t fall for labels like “for all skin types.” Instead, focus on the ingredients! Research each one or simply copy-paste the product’s ingredient list into ChatGPT and ask if it suits your skin type. Trust me, it works!
Step 4: Address skin concerns step by step:
• Acne: Start with glycolic acid for dry/sensitive skin or salicylic acid for oily skin. (Look for more reccos on YT) Always patch test and start once a week in the PM.
• Pigmentation: My favorites are kojic acid, niacinamide, and alpha-arbutin. Choose formulations based on your skin type.
• Retinol: If you’re 25+, this is your anti-aging hero. Start with the lowest dose, once a week, and avoid layering with other actives. You can start by 22-33 if you’re struggling with acne, but very low doses
Key Reminders:
• Always patch test new products.
• Introduce actives slowly—give your skin time to adjust.
• Moisturizer and sunscreen are non-negotiables, especially with actives like retinol or acids.
Pro Tip: Some actives (like retinol or acids) might make you purge (means more acne), this is temporary, so stay patient.
Toners & Serums: Only use them if they address a specific concern—don’t waste money on unnecessary products.
Stress & Diet: Skin health isn’t just topical! Manage stress, hydrate well, and figure out any food intolerances.

I will totally agree with you. I was irritated by the breakouts and wasn't understanding the reason behind it. But I never knew that a skin suitable cleanser and moisturizer can help me get rid of it so easily. I have dry irritated skin and after the struggle of two years I have finally found out the products that suit my skin type
EXACTLY EXACTLY. Anything happens to my skin & all my friend suggests me to visit a dermat but for some reason I just can't believe them and have a deep faith that they're fraud 😂😂
Ya maybe the skincare you used was not for dry skin
Sooo cute ❤
And that mental strength to not care what people say… Bang on , that's what's most important when work is in progress…
I went through the same thing, but my frnd suggested me to start skincare with Cureskin, it was the best decision srsly plus it’s much cheaper
