Just listened to the part about the Creator/creation divide belief of mainstream Christianity and I have to wonder how you can look at all God's creations and not see a pattern of the created (ie: children) growing up to be like their creator (parents). And then factor in the fact of humanity being created in the image of God! This seems like a major disconnect to me…🤔
As for crunching the numbers to determine the date of the second coming that is completely futile. Christ himself didn't know when he declared, "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father". Matt 24:36 – Mic drop!
Section 129 is one I have recalled and used. It’s real & God is all powerful.
I like the word peculiar. As I try to remember it once explained to me, weird can be used in kidding way toward someone or thing. Strange might refer to someone or thing as evil. But we are a peculiar people.. maybe our doctrines are peculiar. BD Peculiar – I Peter 2:9 – a chosen generation… a peculiar (special) people ….
