I love that you talk about the misconception about section 131. I do not believe that the Celestial Kingdom is subdivided.
Section 129 was given to the senior leaders leading up to a time when Joseph would not be there anymore. It makes sense to provide this information as they will soon be seeking guidance about how to proceed with the church in the coming years.
In respect to the soul leaving the body…A doctor relative of mine told me there was a study done at a prestigious medical teaching hospital where they had tables that measured the weight of the patient precisely. At the precise time of death there was a specific weight that left the body like an ounce…I can’t remember the exact measurement but it was exactly the same each and every precise time that the patient in the study passed away…proving that the soul has mass, a tangible, measured, proven weight to it that was precise and identical every time!
Acts 17:28, 29 – ye are the offspring of God …
The Greek word translated as offspring here is genos. I.e. the same family, race, species
We are literally the children, the offspring of God. Whereas animals, plants etc are mere creations (I assume)
I have never thought of the three degrees in the celestial kingdom the way Steve Harper is presenting it. I'm hearing it for the first time and I really like it. However, I think it's also possible that there are many mansions in God's kingdom. I would think that might include the Celestial kingdom. Either way. We'll just be glad to be there. Thanks for the insight. I'd never heard Prof. Harper suggesting that.

In D&C 130:15, I always made the word "IF" the important word. Joseph DIDN'T live to be 85, so the rest didn't matter to me.
Because our progress is so important to Heavenly Father, I have often wondered if the Holy Ghost is a title that has been held by several of our Father's children over time, more like a stake president and less like an apostle. In my mind, it is possible that the Holy Ghost over the New Testament church is a different personage than the Holy Ghost who speaks to me. Either way, I trust that Heavenly Father always has and will always do the right thing for ALL of us!
My 2 cents on the controversy of The nature of the Holy Ghost in 1:19:02. This is very interesting. Elder Hyde says "It is our privilege to have the Father and Son dwelling in our hearts". In Doctrine and Covenants 8:2 the scripture says: "Yea, behold, I will tell you in your mind and in your heart, by the Holy Ghost, which shall come upon you and which shall dwell in your heart". That is why Joseph makes the correction. Later, when he is responding to the Q&A I'm more inclined to think that William Clayton might have recorded some parts with some delay, having to reconstruct it in his mind. I've had occasions where I was taking literal notes, and had issues when the speaker was talking fast, so if this was the case, I see why this was changed to the version we have now.
