You are totally right. People don't understand "fast money" is not abundsnce and freedom. In this case it is better to jeep a 9to5 job. Passive income could be seen as a scam. Building a successful art business takes tome and patience.

Hey, lifetime entrepreneur, consultant and business dude here. I have an MBA and everything. Just pointing out, what they talk about in videos she is criticizing isn't passive income. Passive income is a type of income that has certain circumstances around it. Passive vs active income is like the difference between static and variable costs- it's a good concept to know for designing the business framework, but it's not magic. Passive income tends to have higher resource cost upfront and obviously has maintenance costs (like she explained better).
Just wanted to say, excellent video and don't trust uneducated idiots trying to sell you anything.
Nothing ever happens without some sort of work or effort. It truly is such an illusion that you can just sit on your ass doing nothing and money will magically start flowing or stay flowing.
Everything in life requires action. Just getting out of bed and making breakfast requires work, so why would making an income not be the same?
I really liked your point about you're creating an asset which you can then continue to profit from. It's all the unpaid hours of work being paid back over time- kind of thing. Very helpful to reframe how I look at my art business.
I have a Faso website for my art, mostly originals, I want to try some open edition prints as a cheaper print but still good quality , mainly to sell in Pierson this summer to see what people like. . What print on demand companies do you use? So do you put the image on your site that links to the printing co and they get the order,make it and they ship it to them? Trying to learn how this works. Passive income means that you earn at a different time than the time when you do the work. Do NOT confuse passive income with free income. Passive income allows you to make more money than the active income because you don’t have to trade your time with money(meaning that you don’t have to put a price on your real time). There is no income without work 😅
