I’m a Norwegian/American. To us, mashed potatoes are practically a sacrament. I always rice them, sometimes twice. Leftovers make great lefse, but there are seldom leftovers.

I’ll do what you do except I’ve never done it with the garlic so that I will add I also add the white of an egg and that makes it very good but I do the milk and the butter seasoning salt
