Make this better: back off the cream by at least half. Add as much mashed potato as you did chunks. The mashed potatoes give it the thickness you were relying on the heavy cream for, but aren't as stodgy. The mashed taters let the potato soup taste more like potatoes too.

Black pepper kills me stomach, but cayenne doesn't so i'll add extra cayenne when I make it this weekend.
